Fin Raffle Winner for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Calling this early. Irene has arrived and my power is not looking good. Be safe! Joe Campbell and Bryce NIhill each win a set of True Ames fins of their choice. Take your pick of a set of fins up to $80. Thank you to all who donated. The Dude Hates Cancer bowling tournament was a huge success. Hopefully they reached their $80k goal.

047 Kern Mini Simmons

This 5’8 Mini Simmons features hand made fins by John Cherry and  a sanded gloss finish glassing by Brian Wynn. The guys at  Cafe Volan in Asbury Park, NJ were nice enough to get me last minute rack space. It will be there until it’s picked up by it’s new owner so go check it out.

I will be bowling in The Dude Hates Cancer bowling tournament  on August 27, 2011 to help raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! 050 Color

The 8’3 mini was ordered with a textured plum color. I’ll be spraying one coat of each these hand mixed colors. Starting with the lighter then to darker giving the color a faux-like finish. Or at least that’s the plan.

049 Custom Stock Mini (For Sale)

This board was made for 583 Surf in Fire Island, NY. It’s an 8’6 mini with the old school feel of a big full belly that transitions to a rolled vee in the tail. It features the fine glass work of Under Toe Glassing and True Ames Parrish Cutaway and side bites. It can also work great as a single fin. It was made to cruise and is even more beautiful in person. It is currently for sale at 583 Surf.

The first True Ames order arrived. They are beautiful. The new hexcore design takes the weight of the fiberglass fins way down. The weight of plastic fins with the quality of fiberglass.
