I shaped another canvas for a friend. These are great practice for shaping rails.

These are limited and hand made in my backyard by Arthead.
Soon the NY and NJ coastal waters may be used for processing fossil fuels. Surfrider was able to use $720 of my recent Surfrider fundraiser to help prevent this. Please do what you can to help. From Cleanoceanaction.org Three industrial projects are proposed off the New York and New Jersey coasts that will bring dependence on foreign fossil fuels, greenhouse gas emissions, habitat destruction, security risks, and pollution to the region, and will close-off ocean waters to recreational and commercial uses. It’s ready for sanding.
Here are the fins laminated on. Tonight I’ll cut, sand, and prep for hotcoat. Then lay down a glass leash loop on the deck.
I started the long overdue job of glassing this poplar hollow wood board. It’s been so long in the making but it’s coming out great so far. I also got a new set of custom hand made fins from my grandfather for xmas. I just had to foiled them out to finish them up. They are unreal! These will be glassed on.
A couple months ago, I glued up the rails on this board. One thing led to another, I ripped off the rails that took days to glue up, hacked 4 inches off the tail, then slightly reshaped the outline into this. Its not exactly what I planned on but I’m much happier now. This is the hardest board I’ve made so far, but still so much fun to build. It needs to be sanded, rails shaped, and then ready to glass.
Finally have my screens ready to go. Want one?
