SYOB002_Finished
This SYOB board came out so nice I had to take some beauty picts. Matthew designed the whale which works great since this board is one for sure. This is definitely another one I wish I could keep.
Escape From NYC (Again)
In hopes of a happier/easier life for my new small family, I left NYC (again). It was hard to leave (especially since Montauk is now 5 hrs away) but so far the new hood is great and the SNJ waves have been working nicely. I’m taking custom orders for my new setup in South Jersey with fast turn around times of just a few weeks (Depending on the queue). All glass jobs will be handled by a very talented local glass shop so the boards are going to shine. So get on it before I get swamped again. SYOB is shut down temporarily until I work out a new setup in my new space. So keep an eye out.
Beamer_Stoke
Beamer’s board made it to California today. His picts have me smiling pretty hard. Hope it treats you well. Check out his flickr photo set here.
033_Westbrook_Rider Report
This board was picked up yesterday and taken straight to the beach. I miss it already: “Just wanted to say thanks again- headed out to long beach after I saw you. The carrot is fast and loose….. So much fun! This summer is gonna be rad…..”

032_Finished
This 8’3” single fin mini is headed to Beamer in San Jose, CA. It’s a clear sanded finish with a little custom resin color work. Penny couldn’t resist a test ride. We are both sad to see it go. Beamer tells me he’s breaking in the board on a two week camping trip along the West Coast. I can’t think of a better way to get this board wired.

Donate Your Dog and Cat Hair to Clean Up the Oil Spill
From inhabitat.com: Dogs may be our best friends, but did you know they can also aid us in cleaning up the devastating Gulf of Mexico oil spill? Matter of Trust, a San Franscisco non-profit devoted to “mimick[ing] how Mother Nature integrates enduring cycles and provides access to necessities in abundance” is asking petowners and groomers to gather up their tufts of Fido’s fur that would normally be picked off of clothing and throw away to send them in to be made into oil-busting mats.
