Hollow paulownia blank ready for shaping from Crooked Blanks. Mark doing a huge solid and dropping to my house tomorrow all the way from Massachusetts. Will be a Lightly Salted stock board.
I played guinea pig for this one. It is my first SUP. The size is geared towards an all around flat water and surfing board at 11′ and 4.5″ thick. My goal was to transfer the same aesthetic I use on all my boards into a stand up. It isn’t just a big oversized block of foam. The foam is hidden where it needs to be and pulled out from where it doesn’t. I’ve been putting plenty of flat water time on this and it has been better than I’d imagined. Everytime out is so serene and calming, everyone who loves the water should be on one of these. And yes, I’m now taking custom SUP orders. So let me know!
I’ve thankfully been to busy too post recent boards. Here’s one that came out looking nice in the early sun. A bunch more on the way…
Board in the works. Hollow Paulownia Keel Fish with a set of home made Pop Keels. This special board will be on display and for sale at Lightly Salted this summer. Looks fun already!
New production rack in the works. Can hold up to 24 boards! Thanks Farnz!
Rider Report Update: “took new ride out on sunday and it was perfect. thanks man, really really happy with it” I could say how the tail helps keep your line and lower the volume but mainly its just really appealing to my eyes. This is one of my favorites so far.
