Skullcandy Supermodel – Jessica Stam
Skullcandy grabbed an MCS fish for a recent online campaign. This board is stocked at Saturdays Surf NYC More @ Skullcandy.
Photographer Chris Leaman
Chris came by one night while I was finishing up a shape. He shot what seemed to be endless rolls of film. What I find so appealing in these photos is their ability to show the simple beauty of the process. That little room is my happy place and he captured it so well. Thanks Chris! You are welcome back anytime. Check out his work @ christopherleaman.com
5’8 Thin Keel for Bumble and Bumble.
Bumble and Bumble came to me to make two promotional boards for their hair product, Surf Spray. This was a great opportunity to do something that most don’t want to do….Black! They took one on a tour of NYC and will be giving one away!
8’6 Displacement for Gen

I attribute a large part of my humor and craftsmanship to him. As one small aspect of his life, well into his late eighties, he was suppling me with stacks of handcrafted wooden fins, aptly named Pop fins. This was something he did with ease and unknowingly was a silent source of inspiration to the surfcraft community matching the quality of the most influential fin makers today. I’m greatful for the time I had with him and all he has taught me, in and out of the woodshop. He had a great influence on my life which I will always carry with me. Over the past few years, he made it a point to teach me his […]
